WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 start time: Live stream, price, full card, & more for event in Scotland | Sporting News Canada

Scottish wrestlers are ready to take over at WWE’s Clash at the Castle event in Glasgow on June 15.

The main event will be Drew McIntyre, from Ayr, challenging Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Title. McIntyre is WWE’s first and only champion from Scotland, having held world gold twice. A pioneer with Insane Championship Wrestling (based in Glasgow), McIntyre looks to win gold in front of family and friends.

Another Scottish wrestler on the card is Piper Niven. The former Viper challenges Bayley for the WWE Women’s Title. A former ICW Women’s Champion, Niven has home-field advantage and looks to hold gold with McIntyre, someone she credits for boosting the hopes of Scottish wrestlers.

“You know, all of us that are part of the Scottish contingent in the WWE, we all dreamed of a moment like this, so I’m just going to make sure that I really absorb it and take it all in,” Niven told The Herald. “My uncle used to tell me how there was a world record set for a bench press that couldn’t be beaten. One year, one person did it. As soon as that record was broken, three other people went on to break it that year because they believed it was possible.

“Drew made us believe it was possible for Scottish wrestlers to get to the WWE. Drew was the pioneer. He showed us there was a path, and as soon as you believe something’s possible, that is the catalyst. That’s what spurs people on. That’s what gives people hope to keep pushing, despite all the obstacles and hurdles.”

Also on the card will be Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, and more.
