Women’s Scottish Cup: Hearts win derby as Celtic, Glasgow City & Rangers progress

Georgia Timms’ strike secured victory for Hearts in the Edinburgh derby against Hibernian and sent them through to the Women’s Scottish Cup round of 16.

Last season’s beaten finalists got the better of their city rivals at the Oriam.

Holders Rangers were the third round’s biggest winners, defeating Westdyke 24-1. Kirsty Howat and fellow Scotland international Jane Ross scored five each and Mia McAulay netted a hat-trick.

Maria McAneny and Hana Kerner each scored trebles in SWPL champions Celtic’s 13-0 defeat of hosts Glasgow Girls.

Top flight leaders Glasgow City overcame city neighbours Partick Thistle 3-1.

Hosts Spartans defeated Glenrothes Strollers 3-0, Aberdeen were 3-1 victors away to Gartcairn. Montrose won 3-0 at East Fife, with Alma Codegoni scoring twice.

Motherwell recorded a 7-0 victory away to Rossvale and Dundee United secured a narrow 1-0 win over hosts Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Second-tier leaders Hamilton Academical upset SWPL hosts Queen’s Park by winning 3-1 while Bonnyrigg Rose, Boroughmuir Thistle, Elgin City, Falkirk, Kilmarnock and St Johnstone won their ties.

The fourth-round draw takes place on Monday at 19:00 GMT.
