A MAJOR probe has been launched after the “unexplained” death of a woman in a shopping centre car park.
Emergency crews were scrambled to the scene at Cameron Toll shopping centre in Edinburgh after a woman became unwell.
Crews arrived on the scene after the alarm was raised yesterday afternoon.
Tragically, a 36-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cops confirmed the woman’s death is being treated as unexplained.
Police sealed off the car park after they launched a probe into the tragic incident.
Several patrol vehicles responded to the incident as officers cordoned off the area with police tape.
A blue forensic tent was also set up in the car park as the investigation began.
The cordon was still in place in the early hours of this morning.
One onlooker told Edinburgh Live: “It was quite scary as I usually park at that end and saw the police as I arrived.
