When the Dior Cruise Collection Came to Scotland | LBBOnline

On June 3rd, the eyes of the global fashion community turned to rural Perthshire as Dior unveiled its Cruise Collection 2025 in the breathtaking Renaissance Gardens of Drummond Castle. Touted as Maria Grazia Chiuri’s ‘love letter to Scotland,’ the show paid tribute to the country’s history, weaving themes of Mary Stuart, Scottish craftsmanship, Punk attitude, and Jacobite styling into a visually stunning tapestry. The collection wasn’t just a reflection of fashion but an homage to the rich heritage and creativity rooted in Scotland.

At the core of Dior’s Cruise Collection concept is authenticity, achieved by partnering with local suppliers, businesses, and artisans. LS Productions, known for its expertise in providing world-class production services and unlocking Scotland’s most exceptional locations for high-end international fashion brands, was chosen for precisely this reason. In collaboration with Paris-based production company Brachfeld, LS ensured that Dior’s vision was rooted in local Scottish talent, offering a truly unique showcase of the country’s creative potential.

Bringing Dior’s Vision to Life: LS Productions at the Helm.

In the most ambitious project in LS Productions’ history, the company had the honour and challenge of bringing this vision to life. Over three days, LS Productions seamlessly delivered 21 different shoots, setting a new standard for global production in Scotland. As Dior showcased the best of Scottish craftsmanship, LS Productions handled all local production, from editorial content to the creation of Dior’s Savoir Faire series—telling the stories of the Scottish artisans who lent their talents to the collection.

Global Production, Scottish Excellence

Founded by CEO Marie Owen in 2006, LS Productions rose to the challenge, coordinating multiple production teams across Scotland, London, Norfolk, and even as far as the Isle of Harris. Drawing on an extensive network of freelance talent in film, fashion, logistics, and security—many of whom were recruited months in advance—the team worked tirelessly for over six months to plan and execute this monumental project.

This collaboration didn’t just highlight LS’s expertise—it had a direct impact on the local economy, and also showcased Scotland’s capacity to host high-fashion events and large-scale productions, positioning the country as a premier destination for global brands.

Collection Management: Precision Meets Creativity

One team based at Edinburgh’s Dovecot Studios managed logistics for the main collection. Their goal was to create a high-spec working environment for Dior’s atelier of tailors and designers, alongside fulfilling all hospitality and accommodation requirements for the visiting team. LS’s attention to detail ensured that every aspect of the production ran like clockwork, from creative logistics to managing comfort and service standards for the crew.

Telling the Stories of Scotland’s Makers.

In the lead-up to the show, LS Productions also oversaw three separate shoot teams working across the UK to create films for Dior’s Savoir Faire series. These films spotlighted the Scottish artisans, craftspeople, and places of inspiration that brought the collection to life. Featuring interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, the films were shot at locations like Le Kilt in Edinburgh, Johnsons of Elgin, and Harris Tweed, as well as Oxburgh Hall in Norfolk—home to the Marian Hangings, tapestries linked to Mary Stuart. The films offered a rare glimpse into the craftsmanship behind the luxury, culminating in a feature of Dior Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri visiting Drummond Castle ahead of the show.

Capturing the Collection.

The culmination of this extraordinary project came with the runway show at Drummond Castle—a celebration of Scottish heritage and Dior’s commitment to craftsmanship. LS Productions’ local expertise proved invaluable as they coordinated 21 different shoots around the main event, as well as a series of editorial shoots at a number of locations across Scotland in the following days. From behind-the-scenes “getting ready” shots with VIP talent to model group photos, collaborator features, first-looks and beauty close-ups, LS ensured that every moment was captured flawlessly, with an eye for both creativity and precision.

LS Productions’ role in delivering this remarkable event set a new benchmark for large-scale productions, making Scotland not only a backdrop but a co-star in the global fashion narrative.
