On a challenging pitch, the West Indies’ batting lineup struggled, playing recklessly and finding themselves at 97/5 with just four overs remaining. It took a composed performance from Roston Chase (42 not out) and Andre Russell (15 not out) to guide them to a five-wicket victory.
Key players for the West Indies include Nicholas Pooran, who has been their standout batter recently, and bowlers Alzarri Joseph and Akeal Hosein, who impressed in the previous match with early breakthroughs. The team is expected to be cautious, especially with their batting approach, against a spirited Uganda side.
Uganda, fresh from a morale-boosting win over Papua New Guinea, will look to capitalize on any West Indies slip-ups. Their captain Brian Masaba, along with key players Cosmas Kyewuta and Dinesh Nakrani, will be crucial in their bid to cause an upset.

Scotland vs Oman: Group B Contest

Scotland will aim to consolidate their top spot in Group B when they face Oman at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. After a rain-affected washout against England and a tense five-wicket win over Namibia, Scotland sit atop the group with three points.
Skipper Richie Berrington has been in superb form, leading the chase against Namibia with an unbeaten fifty. Scotland’s top three batters, George Munsey, Michael Jones, and Brandon McMullen, will need to fire to ensure a strong start against Oman.
Oman, having lost both their matches so far, face an uphill task. Their performances have been underwhelming, particularly with the bat. Captain Aqib Ilyas and key bowlers Bilal Khan and Fayyaz Butt must deliver standout performances to keep their hopes alive.
