West College Scotland sustainable clothing fashion show in Greenock
The Finnart St Campus was location for the special event ‘Four Seasons in a Day’ which brought the whole college community together creatively as students took to the catwalk in top designs donated by Marble Fashions, based in Renfrewshire.
On the runway there were top role models from the learners development department, a jewel in the crown for the campus.

There was collaboration across departments as music, as well as hair and make up, business and television production all came together to put on a show to remember, including support from Principal Liz Connolly.
On the day the campus was looking to raise awareness and funds for a vital space in the college set aside for students experiencing hardship.
Assistant principal Elodie Lemaire Nowinski, who is responsible for improving life chances and skills, was the mastermind behind the event. She said: “We have had the most fantastic day, the students were incredible.
“This show has been an incredible celebration of the talent and diversity of our student body.
“From the creative teams behind the scenes to the volunteers on the runway, this event showcased the very best of our college community while raising awareness about sustainability and supporting our students in need.”
The unique range of clothes donated by Marble Fashions, who have close links with the college, were then sold.
All the money raised will be donated to improving the Green Room, a space in the campus created to stock food, toiletries and clothing which can be used for students who are struggling while studying.
Fresh from the catwalk students Olivia Chamnanying studying sports coaching and Millan Bryson-sward, a student photographer were delighted to be involved.
Oliva said: “It has been a great day, the fashion show was amazing.”
On the day Hair and Make-Up students styled the models to reflect the theme of Scottish weather.
Catering students provided food to keep the models energised with HND Dance Students opening the show with an electrifying routine to ‘Working 9 to 5’, with each dancer representing a different occupation.
Music students acted as event DJs, setting the perfect atmosphere while photography students captured the event and college television students created an incredible video documenting the show and its preparation.
It was hosted by business students while all the models themselves were student volunteers, including learners from the Learner Development Department, who dazzled on the runway.
