At 2.6, after hitting a boundary two balls before, Jones charged in down the pitch when Khan bowled a short-pitched delivery on the leg stump line which was hoisted up by the Scottish opener towards mid-off region with zero control.
Mehran Khan comfortably caught the ball as Oman struck the first wicket of the innings, reducing Scotland to 21/1.
However, the incoming batter, Brandon McMullen came in and went for an onslaught, helping the team from the UK to chase down the target in 13.1 overs.
With the second win after an abandoned game against England, Scotland will be fancying their chances to go to the second round of the tournament as underdogs from the group.
Up next, they will be facing Australia on the night of June 15 at the same venue.
