‘That’s him out the squad’ – Scotland star called out for ‘shocking’ Twitter bio

HE could be one of the key men in dark blue when we take to the pitch in Munich against Germany on Friday.

But after his Twitter bio was exposed to his Scotland team mates, some of them reckon he should be shown a straight RED.

Ahead of the Euros kicking off next week, several members of the squad that will represent us at the tournament were quizzed on their inside knowledge of their national team pals.

The likes of Scott McTominay, John McGinn and skipper Andy Robertson were put to the task by ITV and challenged with a game of ‘Who Am I?’ to try and guess a player’s identity from a series of clues.

One of those hints was their Twitter (X) bio, and for Billy Gilmour, his led to him copping some flak as his cohorts cringed for him.

Each player was given the line “My Twitter header reads ‘My own lane, my own pace, my own race’,” which was featured on the 22-year-old’s social media page.

McGinn was the first to call it out, saying: “That’s unacceptable!”

Captain Robertson said in disbelief: “What was that?!”

McTominay called it a “shocker” before Robertson added: “That’s not on his social media? That’s a red card, he’s off.”

And some of the Tartan Army faithful had fun at the Brighton midfielder’s expense too.

One fan declared: “That’s him out the Euro squad with that bio!”

Another supporter said: “That’s hilarious!”

And another said: “Some player but ‘Live, Laugh, Love’ might be more acceptable.”

A fourth joked: “Let’s see how long it takes to change it!”

Indeed, with a few hours, the silky midfielder DID remove it from his profile, something noticed by a few eagle-eyed fans.

Of course, there were some comments bigging up the classy midfielder.

One said: “Seems like an infectious character. Could have a huge impact over the next fortnight.”

While this fan took solace in the general camaraderie of the group.

He said: “This type of thing shows they are more like a club mentality and it’s class. No big time Charlie’s etc. Love it.”
