Tartan Army sing Rod Stewart classic in German pub as locals hail ‘amazing’ fans

SCOTLAND fans partied into the night in a Stuttgart boozer as they belted out a Rod Stewart classic with pub staff.

The Tartan Army revellers celebrated in their trademark style as they sang We Are Sailing while rowing on the floor of the Alte Schule pub.

They continued the party after winning over the public with their madcap songs and good natured antics in Munich and Cologne, and now they’re giving Stuttgart a taste of the Tartan passion.

A German local who joined in the fun said: “The Scotland fans were in great spirits all night and the staff couldn’t help joining in the party.

“They ended up doing a boat routine on the floor for Rod Stewart’s We are Sailing and the place was bouncing.

“The Tartan Army have been amazing from the moment they arrived in Germany and everyone is hoping they get the win against Hungary and keep the party going.”

It comes as host city chiefs were last night scrambling to find space for the Tartan Army amid fears thousands will not be able to watch our all-or-nothing Euros decider.

Overcrowding fears grew as it emerged our crucial tie with Hungary will NOT be screened in Stuttgart’s largest fanzone.

And concerns were rife that event officials have underestimated the number of travelling Scotland fans — with 100,000 set to have arrived before kick-off tomorrow evening.

Bosses revealed the big screen at the city’s 30,000-capacity Schloss Platz will instead show host nation Germany’s clash with Switzerland.

Our fans will be directed to a newly created viewing area at the Stadt Garden plus other smaller meeting points offering a maximum capacity of 25,000.

Meanwhile, Scotland fans continued their Euros fever dream by singing the national anthem at a major darts competition.

The Tartan Army can be heard belting out Flower of Scotland at the European Darts open in Leverkusen, Germany.

A video posted online was captioned: “The Tartan Army are in good voice here in Leverkusen, as Flower of Scotland rings around the Ostermann-Arena!”
