Studio brings lagree fitness method to Scotland – Daily Business
Fitness instructor and former Edinburgh university student Sarah Jaffar has unveiled Scotland’s first studio for lagree, a workout method popular with US celebrities.
Lagree is a high-intensity, low-impact system founded by French personal trainer and namesake Sebastian Lagree.
It combines elements of pilates, strength training, and cardio and has been popularised by the likes of actress Jennifer Aniston and former First Lady Michelle Obama.
The new studio, Tallie, in Greenside Place, Edinburgh, has hired lagree-certified fitness instructors including Sara Gilhooley, Grace King and Jenna Robertson, as well as Ms Jaffar.
Tallie’s creative vision is led by Sloe Studios, an Edinburgh brand experience agency founded by Alix Picken, who has been instrumental in creating and implementing the brand and the studio environment.
Ms Jaffar said she was “instantly capitivated” by the slow tempo, high intensity and mental challenge that comes with lagree.
“While studying for my psychology masters at Edinburgh University, I fell in love with the city’s blend of cultures and warm friendliness. There’s a strong sense of community here, which I want to add to by launching Tallie.”
