That’s on the back of a recent run which has seen them win just ONE of their last 13 matches – and that came in a friendly against minnows Gibraltar.

The most recent indignity came with the concession of an injury-time penalty kick to Poland in their 3-2 opening Nations League defeat.

Clarke is without no fewer than TWELVE members of the Euro 2024 squad for differing reasons for this double header – and we’ve yet to discover if there are any fresh injuries after Thursday night.
