SPFL club following Man City and Arsenal with All or Nothing-style documentary
MAN CITY, Arsenal and Juventus are just three of the world’s huge football clubs to feature in a smash-hit fly-on-the-wall documentary series.
And a second tier Scottish football club is about to join them!
Amazon Prime Video‘s All or Nothing series has become a global hit by giving fans an inside look behind the scenes at some of the world’s biggest clubs.
The series initially started out following NFL teams before branching into football with the launch of their Man City series in 2018.
Two years later, a fly-on-the-wall look at Jose Mourinho‘s Tottenham proved hugely popular with North London rivals Arsenal the focus in 2022.
Amazon have also produced series offering unrivalled access to Juventus, Brazil and Germany.
Netflix, too, have had huge success with Sunderland ‘Til I Die which ended earlier this year with its third series.
And, of course, there’s ‘Welcome to Wrexham.’
The documentary will be back for its fourth series and has documented the Welsh club’s rise from the National League to League One, with the cameras continuing to roll as they bid for what would be a remarkable third straight promotion.
It follows the club from the perspective of Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
No Scottish club has yet been featured in such a documentary.
That, however, is reportedly all about to change.
According to Hollywood news outlet Deadline, a documentary focusing on PARTICK THISTLE is in the works.
Their report says that production is under way on a feature-length documentary that will follow the Jags in the 2024/25 season.
It’ll follow Partick manager Kris Doolan and his squad as they look to gain promotion back to the Scottish Premiership after what will be seven years away.
Some huge names are on board too.
It’ll be directed by Sam Neave while renowned Hollywood producer Charles B. Wessler is involved.
Wessler’s Green Book won the best picture award at the Oscars, one of several major gongs it won.
Wessler is quoted as saying the story is “the perfect antidote to the current climate of lavish spending and celebrity investors in football.”
He added: “This is a team that understands nobody is coming to rescue them from above and a fanbase which knows better than to take victory for granted.”
US-based Jags supporter Donald McClymont, who invested £500,000 into the club last year, is also on board as an executive producer alongside Wessler.
The project doesn’t yet have a broadcaster and it’s currently seeking acquisition for worldwide distribution.

In a statement seen by Deadline, McClymont said: “Partick Thistle has been around for almost 150 years and there’s no doubt in my mind that we belong in the Premiership. We’ve come desperately close to getting promoted the past two years and we’re all hoping this is the year we make it back up.”
Director Neave added: “As sports fans we don’t always get to pick our teams. Watching my first match at Firhill Stadium wasn’t some glamorous event but it immediately made me want to tell the story of the relationship between these fans and their team.”
