Simon Jordan couldn’t hide his delight after watching Scotland eliminated from Euro 2024 alongside Jim White.

White and Jordan are friends and colleagues who host one of talkSPORT’s flagship shows, but that doesn’t mean that they always see eye to eye.

The Tartan Army came into the Euros as underdogs but found themselves within one match of a potential spot in the knockout rounds as they faced Hungary on Sunday night.

What followed was a hugely tense encounter, one that White looked unable to enjoy due to the high stakes around the fixture.

With the score at 0-0, both Scotland and Hungary knew that they needed a win to stand any chance of progressing to the last-16, leading White to watch on through his anguish.

As the clock ticked down, both sides went for the victory, however it was Hungary who scored mere seconds from full-time to make it 1-0, leaving the Scotsman with his head in his heads and slumped to his knees as Steve Clarke‘s side’s fate was sealed.

In stark contrast, Jordan was filming White’s reaction and after getting the full emotion of the moment for his talkSPORT co-host, he flipped his camera to reveal his beaming smile after seeing Scotland eliminated from the tournament.

While continually praising Scotland’s fans for their immense support in Germany, Jordan has been consistently vocal about their lack of quality going into the tournament.

That was summed up in the buildup to their final group clash when discussing their hopes of seeing off Hungary to progress.

Speaking on White and Jordan on Friday, the ex-Crystal Palace owner said: “What do I want to see for the Scotland fans who are brilliant fans? I want to see them get the result to get them through the group.

“What do I expect to see? Scottish bags on a carousel.”

The Tartan Army ended their Group A campaign in fourth position, after securing just one point in their three game.

In that time, Clarke’s side scored just two goals, conceding seven in the process to make Jordan’s prediction come painfully true.
