Shutters down as Rangers kit makers suddenly CLOSE flagship Scottish store
RANGERS’ kit suppliers Castore have suddenly closed down a flagship Scottish store.
The UK-based sportwear firm shut another branch north of the border, with doors closed at their Glasgow shop.

Castore have been manufacturing Rangers‘ kits since 2020 and that deal has now entered its final season.
As well as supplying kits, Castore also oversee the Gers’ retail operations.
The Buchanan Street site now has a closed sign on the window.
Castore previously had four stores in Scotland, with one in Livingston Designer Outlet still open.

The Edinburgh stores in the St James’ Quarter and the airport have been closed, along with the Style Mile branch.
However, the retailer revealed that the Glasgow store is moving to another location in the city.
A new branch will open in Braehead Shopping Centre next month.
The sign on the shop read: “We are now closed.
“Our store is moving to Braehead in mid-September. Thank you.”
It comes as Castore look set to lose another major football club.
A host of English clubs ended their deals and a huge European club now look likely to follow suit.
Aston Villa’s agreement with Castore was subsequently ended after players fumed at the ‘wet look’ kit they wore last season.
Adidas are now providing their kits.
In another blow, fellow English giants Newcastle United pulled the plug on their own deal with Castore late last year.

It was claimed issues over quality were at the heart of the Toon’s decision and like Villa, they’re now also wearing Adidas gear.
A third English Premier League club, Wolves, also switched away from Castore to their own manufacturer Sudu after the conclusion of last season.

And now they look set to lose another big club from their roster.
According to German outlet Kicker, Bayer Leverkusen are set to terminate their agreement with Castore after just two years.
