Scottish groundworks business buys stake in Northern Piling | Ground Engineering

Advance Construction announced last week that it had made the equity investment in Northern Piling to strengthen the collaboration between the businesses and provide an enhanced civil engineering package to its customers.

Construction Enquirer has reported that Advance Construction is aiming to buy a 25% stake in the driven piling business and is in the final stages of talks to secure the deal.

The two companies are both based in Bellshill, Scotland. They have worked together on several contracts over the years.

Advance Construction is a specialist civil engineering and groundworks company founded over 25 years ago. The company operates seven unique divisions, employs around 2,000 people and has a turnover of around £300M.

Northern Piling is an independent family-owned business founded in 2010 by William Mitchell. It has a turnover of around £10M and employs up to 35 staff.

They are one of Scotland’s leading specialist contractors offering design, supply and installation of continuously reinforced concrete, driven, steel and timber piles, in addition they offer the installation of ground-beam solutions both in-situ and precast.
