Scottish Cleantech company secures further £230,000 funding – Scottish Business News
Heero Technologies, the high-growth clean tech software and data company based in Dundee, has secured £230,000 of bridge financing from existing lead investor TRICAPITAL Angels Limited and Scottish Enterprise, ahead of a planned Series A funding round.
For net zero targets to be met, focus must be on improving the energy efficiency of 19 million homes across the UK. The Heero Technologies App directly addresses the challenges often associated with energy retrofit projects, such as the disruption caused by invasive measures, energy efficiency financing and grant uncertainty, identifying trusted installers, as well as allowing flexibility and choice over technologies to implement.
Nicola Kennedy, CEO of Heero Technologies, said: “We are delighted to have finalised additional funding from TRICAPITAL and Scottish Enterprise. The investment is further endorsement of the App and the value it brings in the energy efficiency space, simplifying the retrofit journey for homeowners and householders, while streamlining the user experience.”
“The funds will allow us to continue developing opportunities across different sectors, including local authorities, utilities, financial institutions and retail, amongst others.”
Moray Martin, TRICAPITAL Angel’s CEO said: “Heero has hit all of its proof points and we are delighted to be able to support them as they plot a pathway through this critical stage in their lifecycle.
