“I wish them every success and commend the invaluable contributions they make to communities both at home and overseas, helping to grow the UK economy.”

JST is a logistics company active in the port services sector, providing operations throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. JST’s innovative mobile Floating Piers have made it possible for large capacity cargo ships to berth directly adjacent to remote forests. The Piers are part of the broader drive towards Net Zero, with each cargo ship loaded at one of the piers removing some 200 HGV truck journeys from Scotland’s rural roads.

Richard Jennings, Managing Director of JST Services Group, said:

“As a service business, receiving the Kings Award for Innovation is an absolute honour for the company and a huge testament to our employees, partners and customers.”

ERIBÉ Knitwear Ltd create comfort and joy with exceptional, colourful, Scottish knitwear that is sold to the international marketplace. ERIBÉ have been recognised in the International Trade category of the King’s Awards.

Rosemary Eribé, CEO and founder at ERIBÉ Knitwear, said:

“Being awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade is a real honour. It is about all of us, the award recognises how focused teamwork can create such magic and success.

“We see this award as celebrating and recognising the incredible work done by our retailers, suppliers, agents, and team ERIBE in bringing stunning knitwear to our customers.”

SnapDragon provides trusted, effective online brand protection for businesses, large and small, around the world. SnapDragon has been recognised in the International Trade category of the King’s Awards.

Rachel Jones, Founder of SnapDragon said:

“We are over the moon to have our international sales growth over the last three years recognised by a King’s Award.

“Having founded the business to help SMEs avoid the same pains I went through when my invention was counterfeited, we are honoured to now also be working, and growing, with global brands to protect them, their customers and revenues, all around the world.”

The King’s Awards for Enterprise were previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise and were renamed last year to reflect His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II by recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme, now in its 58th year, has awarded over 7,000 companies since its inception in 1965.

UK Government Minister for Scotland Donald Cameron said:

“The winners are all outstanding in their field. From creating hi-tech marine equipment to improving water conservation technology and delivering solutions to treat heart disease, their expertise cements Scotland’s status as a world leader in innovation.

“I want to congratulate all the winners and encourage firms across Scotland to enter next year’s awards to inspire our next generation of business pioneers.”

This year’s King’s Awards for Enterprise are given for outstanding achievement in:

  • Innovation
  • International trade
  • Sustainable development
  • Promoting opportunity through social mobility

His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenants will be presenting the Awards to businesses locally throughout the year.

Eligible businesses are free to apply for one or more categories. The recipients pass a robust assessment process, judged by experts from industry, academia, the voluntary sector and senior officials in Whitehall.

On that basis, each year, The King’s Awards for Enterprise recipients are recommended by the Prime Minister.
