Scott McTominay thrills Napoli fans by showing off new skill
IT seems like Scott McTominay can do no wrong in the eyes of Napoli fans.
And the Scotland hero managed to delight them even FURTHER after netting their match-winning goal on Sunday.
McTominay, 27, has quickly become Napoli‘s main man following his big money move from Manchester United in the summer.
His performances have seen him compared to the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Zinedine Zidane.
His goals have inspired Napoli’s early season title charge.
McTominay was once again the hero as Antonio Conte‘s men won 1-0 away at Torino.
It leaves Napoli four points clear at the top of Serie A, although the teams chasing them have a game in hand as it stands.
Napoli fans have quickly taken McTominay to their hearts and they flooded social media once again to hail him after his winning strike.
But that wasn’t all, and something he did AFTER the game has also left them absolutely thrilled.
McTominay was named man of the match in Turin and Napoli posted a short clip of him accepting his award.
And the Hampden hero went on to thank fans in ITALIAN.
Last month, McTominay revealed he was finding learning the language tricky.
He said: “Italian is not easy because I speak fast.
“Over the last two to three weeks, I picked up little bits in training sessions, the hotel, in the city.”
Four weeks on from that, it looks like McTominay is certainly trying his best.
In the clip, McTominay says: “Grazie mille, Forza Napoli sempre! All the best everyone, thank you for all your support, ciao!”
While it may only have been a few words, the midfielder’s adoring Napoli fans more than appreciated the effort.
One fan said: “As soon as he arrived he already speaks a bit of Italian, unlike others who don’t strive for anything. You really are great.”
