SCOTLAND hero Scott McTominay has limped off injured in the FA Cup final.

The 27-year-old played until the 90th minute of Manchester United‘s 2-1 win over rivals Manchester City.

The midfielder was replaced by Mason Mount in added time, and was spotted limping around the side of the pitch after his withdrawal.

There were injury worries over McTominay last month when he came off for United after suffering a knee injury against Burnley, but it proved to be nothing serious.

Scotland manager Steve Clarke will hope for a repeat situation, with his side kicking off the tournament opener against Germany in just three weeks.

The national team manager is already without Aaron Hickey, Nathan Patterson and Lewis Ferguson this summer due to injuries.

McTominay has become a key attacking threat for his country, top-scoring in Euros qualifying with seven goals, including both strikes in last March’s 2-0 win over Spain.

Scotland’s first warm-up friendly against Gibraltar is on Monday 3rd June – just nine days.

They then host Finland at Hampden on Friday 7th June, before flying out to Germany and facing the host nation at the Allianz Arena the following week.

The Tartan Army will travel in their numbers and hope to see the team become the first side in the nation’s history to progress to the knockout stage of an international tournament.

Clark is seeking to better Scotland’s Euro 2020 total of one point, secured against England at Wembley, which was either side of defeats to the Czech Republic and Croatia.

Following the opening match, Scotland will face Switzerland in Cologne on Wednesday 19th June, before rounding off the group stage against Hungary in Stuttgart on Sunday 23rd June.

McTominay joined Scotland teammates Anthony Ralston, Greg Taylor, Callum McGregor and James Forrest in securing a domestic cup on Saturday, following Celtic‘s 1-0 win over Rangers in the Scottish Cup final.
