Scott McTominay goal stuns Napoli fans as he gets better of Scotland teammate
SCOTT MCTOMINAY scored the only goal of the game as Napoli defeated Torino.
In doing so, he got the better of Scotland teammate Che Adams who started up front for the hosts but failed to make an impact.
The former Manchester United midfielder’s left footed shot was enough for Antonio Conte‘s side to come away with the three points and keep them three clear of Inter at the top of Serie A.
The visitors broke the deadlock just after the half-hour mark when the 27-year-old’s strike from just inside the box was fired into the near post.
He won Man of the Match for his performance.
And it’s fair to say fans were loving it.

Taking to social media, one wrote: “There are those who praise a Dutchman who scores central goals against teams that move aside.
“Then there is him, the strongest midfielder in Serie A. Simply, Scott McTominay.
“With a deadly left-footed shot he strikes like Milinkovic-Savic.“
Another wrote: “Entertaining first half with quite clear chances for both teams. The McTominay effect has once again been decisive for Conte’s men: the Scot’s 4th goal this season and the third time it has meant a 1-0 lead.“
A third couldn’t hide their approval, with an interesting take on it: “Things or people that start with Mc that have made my life a little more beautiful: McDonalds and McTominay #TorinoNapoli.”
This punter exclaimed: “Anguissa, Lobotka, McTominay… this is what the creator of the sport envisioned.”
Finally, this one put it best: “Born too late to explore the world
“Born too early to explore space
“Born at the right time to watch Scott Mctominay play football. I will tell my grandkids about him.”
However the finish only made a Man Utd fan angry after the player’s departure from Old Trafford this summer, with them posting: “I would like to personally meet the Man Utd director who authorised the transfer of McTominay.
“Pure incompetence.“
