Scots fashion designer famous for viral Taylor Swift dress creates football kit
A SCOTS fashion designer who went viral after Taylor Swift was spotted in one of her dresses has teamed up with an SPFL club to create a football strip.
Jade Robertson was in a “state of shock” after seeing the pop princess showing off her £58 boutique garment earlier this year.
She subsequently told of how the Anti-Hero signer snapped up another eight items from her brand, Little Lies.
The company is based in Glencarse in Perthshire and they’ve now joined forces with the local team to produce a bespoke new footie kit.
St Johnstone – also known as the Perth Saints – have unveiled a new third kit for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign.
Jade herself comes from a Saints-supporting family and her dad even PLAYED for the club.

Billy Beatson briefly played as a full-back for the Perth side.
Interestingly, his sister and Jade’s aunt, Eve Graham (Beatson), who was a member of the New Seekers pop group in the seventies.
The strip is in a midnight blue colour with flashes of green on the top. It also has the Little Lies brand name at the hem of the shirt.
Funds raised by the new kit will go towards three charities, including Fans Supporting Foodbanks which is emblazoned across the chest of the jersey.
A Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance logo is located on the back and Saints in the Community, St Johnstone’s own charitable wing, appears on the sleeve.
The shorts and socks are in the same blue colourway as the top.
A statement from the McDiarmid Park club on the new strip said: “We are fearless in our quest to celebrate and support the community we operate in.
“That is why our unique new third kit – launched today – takes inspiration from the success of a business based here in Perthshire, while also helping three charities close to our hearts.
“Glencarse-based fashion company Little Lies hit local, national and worldwide headlines earlier this year when pop star Taylor Swift was spotted in one of their dresses.
“Taking inspiration from that design, Jade Robertson and her team were honoured to join forces with St Johnstone to create our new kit following discussions with owner Adam Webb.
“Jade herself comes from a Saints-mad family who follow the team across the country and her father, Billy Beatson, even played for us.
“On the front of the jersey, Fans Supporting Foodbanks takes prominence and we also shine the spotlight on Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (back) and Saints in the Community (sleeve).
“Just like Little Lies’ Taylor Swift-worn dress, we hope this third kit can now go viral to help all three charities as much as possible. Proceeds raised from shirt-sales will be split between the charities.”
Jade revealed that the dress that kicked everything off is STILL selling well across the world and she was delighted when Saints owner Adam Webb reached out to her with the idea of producing a kit inspired by the company’s success.
She also hopes a few Swifties might be inspired to splash out on the new threads.
She said: “Taylor Swift wore our dress and it went completely viral with media outlets across the world.
“It was not just local or national, but worldwide. We sold a huge amount of the dress at the time and it is continuing to sell well.
“Adam got in touch with us, he loved the story and loved that it had such an impact. Being an American owning St Johnstone, he wanted to do something to bring it all together. And I’m always up for a challenge!
“The wider this story can go, the more good we can do. I think that is why we wanted to launch before Christmas.
“Anyone worldwide can buy this strip to help Fans Supporting Foodbanks, Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance and Saints in the Community.
“We hope it goes as far and as wide as possible and that ‘Swifties’ can also get behind the kit.”
Francis Smith, Saints chief executive added: “We are delighted to be teaming up with Little Lies to launch our new third kit.
“We are continuing to drive our One Club, One City, One Community message and joining forces with this successful local business is important to us.

“We want to support local and, as always, support good causes. That is exactly what we are doing with this kit and we hope it can be shared as far and as wide as possible.
“The more we manage to sell, the more we can help the charities involved so a massive thank you to everyone who purchases the kit.”
