Scotland’s Nations League games to be shown exclusively on YouTube

Scotland’s upcoming Nations League games against Croatia and Portugal will be shown live exclusively on YouTube.

The national team take on Luka Modric’s side in Zagreb on Saturday before hosting Cristiano Ronaldo and co at Hampden on Tuesday.

The games won’t be broadcast on any television channel in what will be a first for any competitive game for Scotland this century.

Viaplay Sport, who hold the rights to the national team’s games, will instead stream them live on their YouTube channel.

The Norwegian broadcaster is contracted to show all of the men’s teams games until 2028, but recently decided to scale back their coverage of Scottish football.

The rights to the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup were sold back to Premier Sports and the recent Scotland games were shown on STV Player.

Steve Clarke’s side are aiming to get their campaign back on track following late defeats to Poland and Portugal in their opening two League A Group 1 fixtures.

They have only won one of their last 14 games, which includes three games at Euro 2024 and defeats to England, France and Spain.
