Scotland star Lyndon Dykes set to join English third tier club
LYNDON DYKES is on the move this summer as the Scotland hitman looks to kick-start his season at a new club after missing Euro 2024.
Dykes has been with QPR for four years since his big move from Livingston.
Now, he is set to DROP a division to continue his English football career.
According to the The Athletic, Queen’s Park Rangers have accepted an offer of £1million for the striker from League One side Birmingham City.
Dykes will complete his medical with the St Andrews club on Tuesday.
The striker scored 37 goals in a four year spell with the R’s, and got his season up and running with a late equaliser against newly relegated Sheffield United.

Chris Davies’ Birmingham have been stockpiling talent since their surprise relegation from the Championship last season.
In an incredible turn of events, Birmingham sacked manager John Eustace whilst in playoff contention, and the club slid to relegation under the tenures of Wayne Rooney, Tony Mowbray, and later Gary Rowett.
Now, with huge financial investment, the St Andrews side are fully committed to bouncing back to the second tier – and are splashing the cash to do so.
They’ve already brought in Alex Cochrane from Hearts, as well as completing a loan move for Rangers defender Ben Davies.
Now, they’re set to bolster their attacking options, by bringing in Scotland’s number nine.
Dykes has 36 caps for Scotland, scoring nine goals.
He played a pivotal part in Scotland’s Euro 2024 qualification campaign, which saw Steve Clarke‘s side win all five of their opening fixtures.
Unfortunately for Dykes, his Euro fairytale ended as he picked up an ankle injury in their training camp before the squad set off for Germany.
Another Scotland striker on the move this summer is Dykes’ Euro replacement Tommy Conway.
The former Rangers and Celtic target penned a £4.5m move to Championship side Middlesbrough from hometown club Bristol City.
Conway failed to appear at Euro 2024, but he made his Scotland debut in a 2-2 friendly draw against Finland at Hampden.
It was nearly the perfect debut, as Conway looked set to snatch a late winner for Scotland, only to be denied spectacularly by new Celtic stopper Viljami Sinisalo.
