Scotland star has fans urging Clarke start him after ‘worldie of an assist’
HE is one of Scotland’s brightest sparks.
But boss Steve Clarke has been given some thinking to do over his team selection for the upcoming Nations League fixtures after his man was on FIRE.
Clarke recently named his 25-man squad for his final matches of 2024, key deciders in the competition‘s Group A1.
The Scots will face Croatia on Friday November 15 at Hampden before traveling to face Poland in Warsaw three days later.
They head into the two games bottom of their section and facing relegation back to League B and are also on a horror run of just one win in 16.
But a major turnaround and two wins from two could secure a top two spot – and a coveted pot one berth for the upcoming World Cup qualifying draw.

Could Ben Doak play a part?
That is the question many fans are wondering after the Liverpool loanee’s superb performance for Middlesbrough.
The 18-year-old former Celtic youngster, who made his first senior start for his country last month in Zagreb, set up two goals in his side’s 5-1 home win over Luton Town on Saturday.
But it was his first which has set tongues wagging.
Losing his marker at the front post from an attacking corner, he nonchalantly flicked the ball perfectly into the path of Delano Burgzorg, who fired home for the first goal of the game.
He added a second after half-time with a cut-back for Finn Isaac Azaz and punters were full of praise for the teenager.
Taking to X, one said: “He had a great game. The improvement in his decision making and end product has been continuous this season. Nailed on starter for Scotland now… has to be!”
Another wrote: “2 assists for Ben Doak in a 5-1 win for Middlesbrough over Luton in the Championship. In flying form ahead of Scotland’s internationals against Croatia & Poland.”
