Scotland hero booed at Open Goal live show as fans say ‘he’s been subbed off’

IT was a big night for Si Ferry and the boys as Open Goal hosted their Euro 2024 preview live show at the Hydro.

Scotland heroes James McFadden, Gordon Strachan and Robert Snodgrass were all appearing at the OVO Hydro for another of the gang’s successful live shows in the lead-up to this summer‘s Euro finals.

So too were current Scotland squad members Lyndon Dykes and Ryan Porteous.

It was billed as an unmissable and epic send-off for the Scotland National Team before they head off to Germany

But it was Snodgrass who hit the headlines – for the wrong reasons as punters at the arena took a dim view of his contribution.

They raced to social media to share their displeasure, with Hearts fans in particular unhappy about his claim that Steven Naismith was the worst player he played with at Scotland.

Punters said he “absolutely bombed” with the “whole crowd booing his anecdotes”.

One fan wrote on social media: “Open Goal a tough watch tonight. Strachan class as expected. Snodgrass absolute shocker. “

Another said: “Snodgrass goes down in history as the worst person to take the stage at the Hydro.

“Obviously still bitter about Naisy punting him.”

A third said: “OMG … Snodgrass … absolutely bombed, surely you would have a plan B.”
