No broadcaster has yet picked up the rights to show Scotland‘s matches against Poland on Thursday and against Portugal on Sunday.

Viaplay own the rights to show Scotland matches but announced last year that they were shutting down their UK sports department, meaning that any interested broadcaster would need to make a deal with them to secure the rights.

With just three days until the clash with Poland at Hampden Park, there are no guarantees that the game will be broadcast in the UK.

UEFA have been contacted for comment on the issue.

The two matches will be the first time that Steve Clarke‘s side take to the pitch since crashing out of the Euro 2024 group stage in June.

The former Kilmarnock boss has added some new faces to his squad since the disappointment in Germany, although some changes have been forced upon him, such as Callum McGregor dropping out after announcing his international retirement last month.

MLS hotshot Ryan Gauld has been called up for the first time in midfield, and there are also places for Max Johnston, John Souttar, Ben Doak and goalkeeper Jon McCracken.

Meanwhile, SunSport’s Bill Leckie says Steve Clarke needs to focus on setting things right with Scotland fans by performing well in the Nations League before he starts thinking about plans for the World Cup.

The national team will face Poland, Portugal and Croatia twice each over the next two months, before qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico begins next year.
