Scotland confirm Gunn injury withdrawal
The goalkeeper travelled to Scotland on Monday for further scans and assessment, but has now been ruled out of the upcoming Nations League matches against Croatia and Portugal. Steve Clarke has named Kilmarnock’s Robby McCrorie as his replacement.

Gunn sustained a muscular injury in the rib area when catching and quickly releasing a ball in the first half before being replaced at the interval by deputy George Long.
City boss Johannes Hoff Thorup confirmed Gunn had felt pain in his ribs during the first half of the contest and was withdrawn to prevent any further damage.
“He had a knock to his ribs after catching the ball, one of these crosses when he went out there, and you can see he was struggling a little bit,” Thorup told the Pink Un after Saturday’s big victory over Hull.
“I think it was more painful to him. Of course, we don’t hope anything is broken, but you never know. And he was clear in half-time, he could not continue.”
He will now return to Norfolk for treatment, with the hope of returning to Championship action against Stoke later this month.
There was also concern over whether Jose Cordoba would link up with Panama after sustaining a painful knee injury during last week’s 1-1 draw with Leeds United.
Despite initial fears that he would be sidelined for a prolonged period, Cordoba returned to play the entirety of Saturday’s victory over Hull, even though the plan pre-match was to withdraw him early in the second half.

That created some doubt over whether the central defender would travel to Panama ahead of their friendly double-header against Josh Sargent’s USA and Canada during this international period, but Cordoba was pictured training alongside his teammates at the Estadio Rommel Fernández overnight.
Norwich have already seen midfielder Marcelino Nunez withdraw from Chile’s squad with a hamstring injury that is expected to keep him sidelined beyond the international period.
