Scotland braced for 60mph gusts and travel disruption amid yellow wind warning
Those living in the Scotland have been told to expect 60mph winds and disruption after a yellow weather warning was issued.
The Met Office has urged residents in Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders to prepare for some difficult travel conditions after a warning for wind was put in place from 3am until 2pm.
Winds between 50mph and 60mph are expected in some areas, with more exposed locations potentially facing higher gusts.
The adverse weather conditions could affect some bus and train services in the area.
A spokesperson from the Met Office said: “West to south-westerly winds will become particularly gusty over and to the east/north-east of hills late Tuesday night and into Wednesday.
“Gusts of 50mph to 60 mph are possible in some areas, and potentially higher in more exposed places. This may cause difficult travelling conditions, especially on higher level and north-south routes.”
