Record visitors give St Andrews Links best ever profits

1. A record number of visitors has propelled the St Andrews Links Trust to its best ever financial performance.
There were more than 283,000 rounds of golf played across its courses, including the world famous Old Course, in 2023, up 11 per cent on the previous best in 2019.
The trust’s practice facilities, retail and food and beverage services also had bumper years.
That lifted total revenue at the charitable trust by 29 per cent to £43.8 million while its net income increased by more than 200 per cent year-on-year to £11.5 million.
