Poland’s Robert Lewandowski set to miss Scotland visit in Nations League

Robert Lewandowski is expected to miss Poland’s match with Scotland next week with a lower back injury.

The Scots host Croatia in Friday’s penultimate Nations League A1 fixture then travel to take on Poland on Monday evening.

Lewandowski, 36, played all 90 minutes of Barcelona’s Sunday defeat by Real Sociedad but his club said on X, external he would be out for around 10 days.

The striker, who is his country’s record cap holder and scorer, converted a penalty in Poland’s 3-2 win at Hampden in September.

Steve Clarke’s Scots picked up their first point in Group 1 with a 0-0 draw at home to Portugal last month after narrow defeats by Poland, Croatia and Portugal.
