New Glasgow tech hub among largest in Europe

1. A new start-up and smart device hub is thought to be one of the largest of its type in Europe.
The Smart Things Accelerator Centre (STAC) said its new campus, named “thebeyond”, would have product development space and 250 co-working desks.
Funding for the new campus came from Federated Hermes, the UK government and Glasgow city council

The 22,000 sq ft space at Skypark in Glasgow also includes an electronics laboratory and fabrication capabilities.
Paul Wilson, STAC chief executive, believes the facility can help “build world-class start-ups who can compete on a global level”.
He added: “We now have a comprehensive environment to accelerate the entire product development process, providing inventors and developers with the tools and resources needed to bring their ideas
