Mhairi Robertson joins Savills Infrastructure team as regional lead for Scotland

Savills Major Projects team has made two senior appointments to support the delivery of nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs) across the UK.

Mhairi Robertson MRICS joins as regional lead for Scotland, bringing extensive experience from SSEN Transmission, where she was part of the Capital Development and Delivery Land Team, managing large-scale electricity infrastructure projects from inception to completion.

Mhairi’s background includes strategic estate management and community engagement, contributing to economic growth for an innovative Aberdeen rural estate business. She is a Chartered Surveyor with Masters degrees in both business management and land economy. Mhairi also sits on the RICS Rural Expert Group and SLE’s North East Committee and is an APC assessor and counsellor.



Mhairi said: “I am excited to join the team at this pivotal time for Scotland’s infrastructure sector. With the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions, I look forward to contributing to projects that will shape the future of our nation’s infrastructure.”

Jonathan Nesbitt MRICS has been appointed as infrastructure delivery lead for Major Projects in England and Wales. Previously a principal surveyor at Ardent, Jonathan has been involved in various Delivery Consent Order projects across infrastructure sectors including electricity, rail, and road. He is a Chartered Surveyor with eight years of experience in the compulsory purchase industry, representing both claimants and scheme promoters.

Jonathan said: “I am pleased to join a dynamic team targeting major projects in England and Wales. The increasing demand for grid infrastructure to support Net Zero and utility resilience creates vast opportunities. I am eager to show our clients how we can assist in their DCO applications and bring infrastructure projects to fruition while protecting rural land and our built environment.”
