Man, 37, killed in Land Rover crash in Ayrshire

A 37-year-old man has been killed in a car crash in South Ayrshire.

He was driving a green Land Rover Defender on the Girvan to Dailly Road near the B734 when the incident happened at about 19:30 on Saturday.

Emergency services attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police closed the road for 12 hours for accident investigations. Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Sgt Brian Simpson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this difficult time.

“Our inquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.”
