Kids asked whether they are trans in ‘creepy’ SFA survey

AN SFA survey is asking kids whether they are homosexual, bisexual or have identified as trans.

The “creepy” questions were included in an email sent this week to Scotland Supporters Club members of all ages.

Hampden footie chiefs told the Tartan Army they wanted to “understand your experiences” and see how they can “improve things”.

But last night the dad of a 13-year-old girl who received it hit out: “It’s disgraceful that kids like my daughter were sent this.

“Why did the SFA think it was appropriate to ask this of children or even adults? It’s woke nonsense and made me very angry.”

And Tartan Army footsoldier Grant Stewart, 46, of Edinburgh, said: “All that fans care about is the team winning on the park and decent facilities off it.

“Their sexual preferences or gender identity are totally irrelevant — and none of their business.”

Feminist campaigner Susan Smith insisted: “Creepy questions about a child’s sexuality, before some have hit puberty, is not the answer. No one cares what the trans history of fans might be. But to include children in this line of questioning is deeply inappropriate.”

And Tory MSP Roz McCall said: “The SFA have no business asking children such intrusive and inappropriate questions.

“Parents have every right to be angry over this. They and their children deserve an apology.”

In their email, the SFA said the questionnaire — issued by Taylor McKenzie Research — was to help them “understand where improvements can be made to meet the needs of committed fans like you”.

But last night the association apologised to “anyone who received the recent supporters club members’ survey in error”.

A spokesman said: “This version was intended for adult members only. Some questions reflect those asked by Scotland’s Census in 2022.

“The company that issues the survey on our behalf has acknowledged the error and they remedied it immediately.”
