The venue opened up back in 2022 in Fife Leisure Park, replacing the former Bella Italia unit.

The restaurant serves up tapas dishes with a Scottish twist such as haggis bon bons and haggis, neeps and tapas.

The company’s original restaurant in Falkirk has also entered liquidation.

The venue recently won a prestigious gong at this year’s Scottish Restaurant Awards.

It took top spot for Scottish Restaurant of the Year.

According to Companies House, both Christie’s Restaurants Dunfermline and Falkirk Ltd have their status listed as being in liquidation.

It comes after the Fife restaurant recently received a number of one star reviews on Tripadvisor.

A couple of days ago, one customer wrote: “No point having good service and pleasant staff if the food served is lukewarm on tepid plates.

“By the very nature of eating tapas, the food WILL end up cold by the end of the meal.

“This aspect has to be investigated by management.”

Another said: “Service was fine but food was not good.

“Everything is served at same time so it was all cold. Haggis bon bons were tasty others were disappointing.

“This was our second visit, we tried January 2023 just after opening and thought it deserved another chance. Won’t be back.”

While a third wrote: “We decided to give this place a go but we were disappointed with the whole experience.

“The place was noisy and it was difficult to talk. We ordered a couple of tapas dishes each. I’m vegetarian so picked two from the limited choice.

“When our dishes arrived they looked quite appetising. Unfortunately the taste did not match up. Won’t be back.”
