JOHN HIGGINS has won FOUR world titles and is recognised across the globe for his impressive exploits on the green baize.

But the top potter, winner of 31 ranking crowns during an illustrious career, has revealed his TikTok sensation son Pierce has now BANNED his famous dad from watching him perform live at comedy stand-up nights.

And Higgins has now admitted he’s ready to move over to let his talented offspring hog the limelight.

Eldest son Pierce and comedy partner Lewis Reid have racked up a staggering 4.1million on their hugely-popular ‘Jamaica Street’ account, which now has 134.6k followers.

The comedy-duo’s growing social media platform has proven to be a big hit since its launch in November 2021 – and continues to go from strength-to-strength.

But even John and wife Denise are not allowed to watch their comical son reel off the his funny lines in front of a live crowd.

“He’s (Pierce) banned the family from going to watch him,” revealed Higgins

“I think it maybe puts too much pressure on him.”

Higgins joked: “Me and his mum don’t really have a clue how social media works, but that’s just the way the younger generation move nowadays.”

And it’s not only Pierce who is making waves, his brother Oliver (19) is forging a successful performing arts career in London, while youngest child Claudia (16) is gunning to break into the Scotland women’s team one day!

“He’s (Pierce) enjoying doing that (his comedy) and Oliver’s loving it living in London,” added Higgins. “That’s where he wants to try and make his name as well.

“I’m so proud of the two of them and the third one, my daughter, she wants to be a Scotland football player one day.

Higgins reflected: “It’s funny how life works out.

“The two boys love their performing arts – and I’ve got a daughter who wants to play football. But it’s all good!

“She just loves the football, loves the tackling and giving 100 per cent just like her dad.

“She’s tried her hand at everything, centre midfield, left-back and keeper, but football is something she just loves doing.

“Whatever your kids like doing you just support them 100 per cent don’t you?”

Higgins returns to competitive action next week at the Shanghai Masters, the first major ranking tournament of the new season.
