Housebulder reveals further details on proposed multi-tenure development in Cairneyhill – Scottish Business News

AVANT Homes Scotland has revealed further details on its plans to deliver a £68m multi-tenure development comprising 256 new build homes on a 26.2-acre site in Cairneyhill, West Fife.

The housebuilder has announced the proposed development, which is located off Sunnyside Road, will be called Keelyside View.

It will comprise a mix of two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom homes and feature 13 of Avant Homes’ practically designed, energy efficient house types. These will include terraced, semi-detached and detached homes as well as townhouses.

Prices for the individual properties will be released if planning is granted. Of the 256 homes, a quarter have been designated to affordable housing.

Plans for development were submitted at the end of May. If permission is granted, work at Keelyside View is scheduled to commence next May with the first residents expected to move into their new homes in early 2026.

Avant Homes Scotland managing director, Jim Wilkinson, said: “Cairneyhill is a wonderful place to live. It’s close to the coast, just a three-mile drive from Dunfermline and within commutable distance of Edinburgh. The location enables residents to enjoy the peaceful village life while still being close to bustling cities.

“If planning is granted, Keelyside View will be a fine example of our commitment to providing quality new homes for everyone in popular locations where people want to live.

“Our proposed multi-tenure development features a mix of practically designed, energy efficient house types that will appeal to first time buyers, second steppers, families and downsizers. We now look forward to Fife Council considering our plans.”

Edinburgh-based Avant Homes Scotland currently has 12 live developments. These range from Craigowl Law in Dundee to Draffen Park in Stewarton.

Avant Homes Scotland is part of the Avant Homes Group, whose house types are ideal for the private, rented, and affordable sectors, which operates across Scotland, the north of England and Midlands from eight regional operating businesses.

At present, Avant Homes Group employs more than 600 people. The housebuilder’s ambition is to grow its multi-tenure business further across its existing regions and beyond, creating communities as well as providing employment opportunities.
