GolfBIC On Tour! London – Cambridge – Scotland in April/May
The UK Golf Federation’s unique GolfBIC Roadshow events, which will be held in April/May 2024, still has places available to book, with a core focus on promoting sustainable golf courses and working towards operating a nett carbon-zero environment.
The GolfBIC events will be one-day roadshows held across the UK, including Scotland, Cambridge, and Hounslow. These locations have been carefully chosen to ensure accessibility for UK Golf Federation Members and industry professionals across different regions.
The overriding objective of these events is to create awareness about sustainable practices within the golfing industry and to showcase the steps that golf courses can take to minimize their carbon footprint. By adopting eco-friendly technologies, implementing conservation initiatives, and promoting environmentally responsible practices, golf courses can strive to achieve carbon neutrality or, ideally, a carbon-negative status.
During these roadshows, participants will have the opportunity to attend insightful presentations and seminars led by industry experts. These sessions will delve into various subjects including sustainable turf management, renewable energy integration, waste management, water conservation, and more. Additionally, exhibitors from sustainable golf equipment manufacturers, environmental organizations, and golf course management companies will be present to showcase innovative products and services.
The GolfBIC Roadshows aim to provide a platform for golf course owners, managers, and industry professionals to network, exchange ideas, and learn from one another’s experiences. By collaborating and sharing best practices, the golfing community can collectively work towards reducing their environmental impact and contribute to a more sustainable future.
