Forth Ports reveals £50m investment in Leith

1. Forth Ports is to invest £50 million in infrastructure improvements after winning its largest ever offshore wind contract.
The Port of Leith is to support the delivery of the 1.1 gigawatt Inch Cape offshore wind farm which will be situated off the Angus coast.
Fifty jobs will be created as part of the upgrade in the port’s marine access and vessels as well as a new plant and equipment for the wind farm.
Stuart Wallace, the chief executive of Forth Ports, said: “Inch Cape represents a very significant milestone for Forth Ports as it is the largest offshore wind contract ever to be awarded to our business.”
