You could check out one of Scotland‘s newest attractions – the £60million Lost Shore Surf Resort, near Edinburgh.

Located in Newbridge, Lost Shore is the only inland surf park in the country.

It has something for everyone, regardless of ability or experience.

Instructors stay with the groups in the water – ensuring safety, and giving tips and tricks so you have an enjoyable experience.

There are even glamping facilities which sleep up to eight people, so if the budget allows it, you could enjoy a family trip away from home.

Adult lessons start from £60 and £50 per child. Glamping pods start from £175 per night.

If water sports aren’t your thing, you could put your detective hat on and try to solve a murder.

Case Closed, in Leith, Edinburgh is an immersive experience with puzzles, escape rooms, and more.

Suitable for over-15s, you could attempt to solve the murder of Max Sinclair, or try your hand at working your way out of a locked room.

Case Closed allows for groups of between two and ten.

Brand new ice bar to open in Scotland in time for Christmas

The experience costs £29 pp for a group of four.

Not a fan? Don’t worry, you could also spend your Xmas living the high life.

You could stay at the Schloss Roxburghe hotel in Kelso instead.

You could explore the 300 acres of land around the building, or try out one of their many activities including archery, clay pigeon shooting, or fishing.

The new pool and spa welcomes children, and for those sports fans they even have a brand new driving range with Toptracer technology.

Two-bedroom cottages start from £346 a night (self-catering) and includes a £25 voucher for the farm shop.

Are you a sports fan? Well there’s plenty more available than just football this Christmas time.

There is plenty of basketball on this winter, and what’s more, you don’t even need to cross the Atlantic.

You can book tickets to see Scotland‘s very own Caledonia Gladiators in their new arena in East Kilbride.

The Gladiators are enjoying one of their best spells in 25 years, with them men winning the league title in 2023.

The women‘s side even became the first Scottish team to compete at European level in 50 years.

Prices are £16 for an adult and £8 per child.

Or maybe if sports aren’t quite your thing, a special tour for animal lovers might be.

Well you could make the short hop over to the Isle of Arran for a memorable experience at Bellevue Farm.

The farm allows children to interact with many of their various animals – which include the lesser seen alpacas – and you can even watch goats jump around the hillside.

Run by the Currie family, the tours make for a brilliant day of family fun, and also educate children on what life is like living on a farm.
