England fans in Germany mock Scotland’s Euro 2024 exit as Three Lions supporters chant in the streets and at the darts in Leverkusen as the Tartan Army heads home

  • Scotland were eliminated from Euro 2024 after being beaten by Hungary
  • England fans across Germany celebrated the occasion in emphatic fashion
  • LISTEN to It’s All Kicking Off! ‘There’s not much positivity that he will play’ – why did Gareth Southgate pick Luke Shaw?

Hungary fans might be the loudest in Germany on Sunday evening as their 1-0 victory over Scotland eliminated Steve Clarke’s side from Euro 2024, but England followers were also celebrating after watching their island rivals finish bottom of Group A.

Scotland’s quest to reach the knockout stages of the tournament was extinguished when Kevin Csoboth’s stoppage time strike broke past Angus Gunn to nestle in the back of the net.

The Tartan Army watched on agonisingly as their team found themselves heading home just nine days after getting the competition underway against hosts Germany, but there was no sympathy from any England supporters.

Three Lions fans – who hope to watch Harry Kane & Co beat Slovenia on Tuesday – were filmed celebrating Scotland’s demise in several destinations across Germany with chants being aimed at their northern neighbours.

Plenty of topless England fans soaking up the atmosphere in the streets of Cologne made the most of the occasion and used Scotland’s failure as another reason to party.

A mob of fans were filmed chanting ‘Scotland get battered everywhere they go’ in a dig at their rivals after failing to record a single victory while at the European Championship.

Scotland picked up just one point across three games as they were beaten by both Germany and Hungary, but managed a 1-1 draw against Switzerland.

The PDC European Open being staged in Leverkusen on Sunday evening provided England fans with another chance to rub salt in Scotland’s still-open wounds.

Sections of beer-clad fans located in one of the upper stands inside the Ostermann-Arena made sure they were heard while Dave Chisnall was throwing at the oche.

Supporters hilariously chanted ‘Scotland’s going home while England’s on the p**s’ in response to events that had unfolded in Stuttgart, with another group of fans also joining in.

Another video from an undisclosed location packed out with Three Lions fans also saw fans singing the same chant after the game.

Commenting on his side’s disappointing departure from Euro 2024, Scotland boss Clarke said: ‘You’re always to get caught when you open up like that.

‘We did create some chances. A consequence of being under pressure to win is maybe you snatch a bit at those chances.

‘Sometimes you need the footballing gods to be on your side; they weren’t on our side tonight. It’s a cruel game. We all suffer the same.’
