Dundee manager Tony Docherty says this season will be a ‘reset’ for the team, despite the success of last term.
The 53-year-old signed a new deal as Dens Park boss earlier this week after guiding the side to sixth in the Premiership in their first season back in the top flight.
After landing a derby against Dundee United in the opening game of the season, Docherty said he’s trying to focus on building on last season’s success.
“It’s a new season, so it’s reset, it’s a different league this term,” he said.
“Last year went well but that over now and we’ve started a new campaign in terms of our pre-season preparation.
“I want my team to be competitive in every fixture.
“It allows me to build on a platform of what last season was and improve and upgrade things for this season. I’m an ambitious individual and it whets my appetite to go again.”
