Don’t close door on oil and gas, ministers urged

1. Scottish ministers must scrap their presumption against new oil and gas projects, a business body has said.

Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC) made the plea before the publication of the Scottish government’s revised energy strategy and just transition plan.

The original draft, released in January last year, stated that Holyrood had a “presumption against” new oil and gas exploration.
