Commercial property deals reached £2bn in 2024

1. The value of commercial property deals in Scotland topped £2 billion in 2024.
An analysis by Knight Frank said there were £2.03 billion worth of transactions across the year. That was ahead of the £1.5 billion booked in 2023 and up on the five-year average of £1.9 billion.
Sales of hotels, offices, retail assets and industrial units in 2024 were all ahead of the previous 12 months.
Hotel deals in Edinburgh were particularly strong, with the DoubleTree by Hilton in the city centre, the Malmaison in Leith and the Bruntsfield Hotel among those changing hands.
