Celtic star and Wag spotted at Scotland vs Portugal
THOUSANDS of fans packed into Hampden for Scotland’s clash with Portugal last night, all no doubt excited to catch a glimpse of the great Cristiano Ronaldo.
And one current Celtic star was certainly no different!
Scotland ended the international break on a high by holding Portugal’s star-studded side to a goalless draw.
Steve Clarke‘s men were certainly well worth their point.
It proved to be a highly frustrating night for footie great Ronaldo, whose tempers boiled over spectacularly at the final whistle.
With the clock ticking over the four minutes that were added on, the ball trickled out for a Portugal corner.
But there was no time to take it and the referee brought an end to the game.
Not being allowed to take the corner left Ronaldo irate and the former Man Utd and Real Madrid superstar stormed off the pitch in a huff.
While the majority inside Hampden were there to see Scotland in action, many were no doubt there purely to see the great man in the flesh.
One of those was Celtic star Luis Palma.
Largely frozen out at Parkhead, the winger wasn’t selected for the Honduras squad during this international window.
Instead, he was away with a fringe Celtic team for a friendly match against Sligo Rovers in Ireland last week.
Palma, 24, sent a reminder to Brendan Rodgers about what he could do by firing a hat-trick in a dramatic 3-2 win for the Hoops.
This week, Palma instead decided to head to Hampden.
And there’s no doubt about who he was there to see!
The Celtic star shared a picture from his seat at Hampden to his Instagram stories.
He then posted another image zoomed in on Cristiano Ronaldo, which he sent alongside starry eyed emoji.
Palma was joined at the national stadium by girlfriend Annie, who also shared as series of pictures and clips of Ronaldo to her own story.
Rangers boss Philippe Clement was also spotted in the stands taking in the Nations League clash.
