Australia Tour of Scotland 2024 – Squads, Fixtures and All you need to know
Australia are touring Scotland for a bilateral T20I series, starting on the 4th of September. The third and Final T20I of the series will be played on the 7th of September.
ICC Ranking – T20 Teams
All of the matches are scheduled to be played at the Grange Cricket Club, Edinburgh, Scotland.
The last Australia toured Scotland was way back in 2013. They played a single ODI match and emerged victorious against the hosts by 200 runs. Australia are participating in a bilateral T20I series for the first time since the recently concluded ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Australia will be led by Mitchell Marsh. The young sensation Jake Fraser McGurk has been included for the T20I series while the experienced Pat Cummins has been rested. Copper Connolly will make his T20I debut against Scotland. Sean Abbott has been favoured by the selectors over Spencer Johnson, who is struggling with an injury.
Power hitters like Josh Inglis, Tim David, Travis Head, Marcus Stoinis are also part of the squad. Australian team will also have the services of their premier spinner Adam Zampa and Nathan Ellis. Overall, the Australian side is looking strong and they will start as favorites going into the bilateral series.
Scotland on the other hand will be led by Richie Berrington. The in-form George Munsey, Michael Leask and Brad Currie will also feature in the T20I series. Although, Scotland will start as underdogs, they are pretty much capable of springing a surprise or two against the visitors.
