Airline launches exciting new summer flights from Scotland
A NEW airline will land in Scotland for the first time this summer – offering up exciting flights perfect for a city break.
Pegasus Airlines will operate twice weekly flights from Edinburgh to Istanbul, Türkiye.
The year-round service will begin on June 27 – flying on Thursdays and Sundays.
The service will connect Edinburgh Airport and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen for the first time.
Flights from Instanbul will leave on Thursdays at 11.40am and arrive in Edinburgh at 2.25pm.
And will leave Edinburgh at 3.30pm and arrive in Instanbul at 10pm.
The Sunday flights leave at the same time as the Thursday flights.
Kate Sherry, Chief Commercial Officer (Aero) at Edinburgh Airport said: “We’re really excited to welcome Pegasus to Edinburgh this summer and see another new airline spread its wings in Scotland.
“Passengers are always looking for choice and by offering another connection to Istanbul, one of the most fascinating cities in the world, we are making their travel as easy and as smooth as possible.
“We look forward to seeing Pegasus at Edinburgh and will work closely with our new partners to make the route a success.”

Only four hours from the UK, the Turkish city is famous for its landmarks, rich history, cuisine and cheap deals.
Istanbul has a Mediterranean climate, with moderate springs and autumns, scorching summers, and chilly winters.
