A75 closed in both directions after ‘incident’

The A75 has been closed in both directions after a “road traffic incident” in Dumfries and Galloway.

Traffic Scotland advised drivers to avoid the area heading east and west at Dunragit due to an ongoing incident reported after 7pm on Wednesday.

Police Scotland are said to be aware of the incident.

A Traffic Scotland post read: “The A75 is closed in both directions at Dunragit due to a road traffic incident.

“Motorists are advised to use an alternate route and should allow extra time for their journey.”

Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
