Scottish businesses now trust SNP more than Labour
The SNP under the leadership of John Swinney and Kate Forbes is becoming increasingly trusted by corporate Scotland while Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour is floundering, researchers have found.
A quarterly survey found that 48 per cent of businesses believe the Scottish government understands their concerns.
That was the highest level recorded since the survey, which takes in responses from more than 600 companies, was first published last year.
In contrast the UK Labour government scored 31 per cent, which was only slightly up on the previous Conservative administration at Westminster.
These perceptions within the business community will further add to concerns within Scottish Labour.
