The multimillion-pound investment will include a refurbishment of the dining areas as well as the creation of two new bars and an overhaul of the dining and drinks offerings.

The work is to start in January and is scheduled to be completed in the spring of next year.
Charles Leckie, part of the sixth-generation of the family to run the hotel, said: “It is the most significant investment project we’ve undertaken in the last 20 years and one we’ve been planning for quite some time.”
